What do Moms Club members do?
Activities for Kids
These days will randomly appear on the calendar and offer members the opportunity to socialize and play at one of the local playgrounds. Pack a picnic lunch and make a morning or afternoon out of it!
Once a month, we organize a free or low-cost field trip to somewhere in the community. Previous field trips have included a picnic at Zelley Park, twilight play at Little Sport, and pumpkin picking and hayrides.
Craft Club for Kids
Once a month, we gather for a craft geared towards the kids. Recently, we have made canvas snowman hands and salt dough hand hearts.
We schedule parties throughout the year to help us celebrate various seasons and holidays. The kids play games and do themed crafts.
Children are divided into color coded age groups by future school year. Each group is run by a coordinator that plans weekly play dates that are hosted either in members homes or local parks. This allows children an additional opportunity to socialize with their peers and moms get support and socialization as well!
As a nonprofit organization, we must complete at least one service project annually benefiting women and children. It is a wonderful way to teach our children about giving to those in need and caring for others. In past years, our club has worked with toys for tots to donate toys and local organizations to donate meals and collect gifts or money to families during the holidays
Activities for Moms
Held on the third Friday of every month, monthly meetings provide members (and prospective members) a chance to socialize. Meetings generally start with an open play time for children and an introduction circle for moms. Each month there is also a structured activity for the children as well. These activities range from a seasonal craft to story telling to a sing-along dance party. We provide light snacks.
We have a fitness club as well as a walking club. The walking club tries to meet 3-4 times a month to walk around parks. The fitness club offers work-outs and recipes to stay fit.
Craft Club for Moms
Let's get together and craft! Once a month, we gather for moms have time to scrapbook, sew, knit or crochet work, or finish (or start) a baby book with some company. This is a BYO Project Club.
Gather with other book lovers to discuss our monthly selected book! Let’s talk about what you have read recently. Get ideas about what you might to read next. New members are always welcome.
Members of our club volunteer to provide meals for new (and new again) moms.
Mom's Night Out
Once a month, we plan an evening event to give our members a chance to socialize, relax, and enjoy each other's company. We offer a variety of activities to appeal to our diverse group of moms. Previous moms' nights have included dinner at Distrito, a holiday cookie exchange, Coach bingo, wine tasting, white elephant gift swap, and Quizzo at Curran's. We are always open to new ideas!
Every Mom deserves a 'girls' night out' now and again!
New Member Events
Once a month, we also hold events at public places for prospective members and their children to meet our members and get answers to any questions you may have. This way, you are able to see what our group has to offer before making the commitment of joining.
